4wd 7 seats under 5k

Apologies up front for yet another ‘ what car thread’…..
I’m toying with the idea of a 7 seater vehicle that is 4wd. Budget up to £5k.

and the 110 can be specced with 12 seats

To add to the list, it's got to be good on the motorway and OK off road (rather than the other way round).

Did they do 7 seat versions of the ML and XC70 (that will fall into the OP's budget)?

Discovery or XC90 are plentiful and fit the bill, although old Discos did have a few weak spots...

As long as you're very close friends with the front centre passenger and the rear four don't mind travelling sideways with no seatbelts on. . . . .

Yeh - I think a Landy is a bit too hardcore for my requirements Love to have one for the weekend however!

Also if you want to go off road then neither an ML nor an XC90 will cope with more then a dirt track.

I would be looking at Discos, get a nice TD5 (Shape) for that money...

and can you get a 7-seat option, or retrofit for the Audi A6 allroad Avant? Would suit the on road / off road requirements.
