It looks like he ignored the valve guide update and needed a rebuild, but damn...imagine getting a service bill like that.

Looks like he bought an MR2 by mistake, and that's the cost to convert it into the real thing tongue out

Makes me feel (a bit) better about the £560 service i've just forked out for for my old BMW. Thanks.

That's dollars so maybe £25-£30,000.

Dollars, yes, but where? US? Canada? Australia? New Zealand?

Could actually be quite routine.

That looks like a main dealer.

For example you could get the headers reconditioned.

Still, fubar'd valve guides are going to ruin your day if you have an F355.

Great news for next owner though - that looks a lovely car once you replace the aircon facia and get rid of the cr4ppy Ferrari door kick plates.

Is that rust under the kick plates?

They all do that sir!!!

It is purely the "kick plate" which is made of rubbish steel. The body underneath is covered in plastic so that isn't the car that is corroding.

Undo one screw, peel off, clean up with white spirit or sumesuch and then replace with a carbon alternative.

Not a big deal at all.
