how much could I really get for mk4 VW Golf 4motion?
Discussion
like, really? Honestly. 5 door, 50,000 miles. Indigo blue. Original leather recaro seats. What's it worth in real money? Nothing wrong with it. I've changed the wheels and suspension which has probably devalued it! It was original when I got it. 2.8 litre V6 for anyone that doesn't know. Road tax £260 a year. Couple of minor 'dinks' to the paintwork.

Can't work out if it's even worth selling. If it's value is too low I might as well keep it as what else could I get for the same money? Don't use it much. Paid 10 & half grand for it about 4 (or 5?) years ago.

A friend just sold his for £2800, he wanted £4000 for it. Granted your is in better condition with lower miles, he had a brand new miltek and quite an expensive induction kit on it too.
As you will know, they drink. They really drink. Saying that, he's now got a modified Cupra R and I don't think that's doing a lot better!
Absolutly lovely car, I'd love one, I'd love to buy yours. Unfortunatly with the way fuel prices have gone, I wouldn't like to put fuel in it

I'd say a touch under £3k.
Low mileage for the year, the right colour combination, interior looks very tidy.
Get some leather conditioner on those seats to soften the leather up a bit. How bad are the "dinks?" Polishable scratches or dents? Amazing what can be polished out with the right kit.
I'd change the wheels back if you still have them and they're tidy but if not, they might appeal to some potential buyers.

t market for sellers at the moment. Our "depreciation resisting" BM is probably worth about four quid (cost us £21k) now - I daren't even value it TBH. If the Golf does the job you need it to, keep it. It'll last forever (mk4s were well screwed together - I had an R32 and it was bullet proof), it's a nippy motor, it sounds good and the AWD is handy in the Winter.Glass's guide:
