Well had a ride in one of these today as a passenger with five adults.
I'm not sure if it was a RS6 plus or just the RS6 - also not sure if it was mapped or not however I have never felt acceleration that savage in a car before and the noise wow.

I'm sure he had stock in the estate boot as well but it seemed like weight made no different to the rate of acceleration of this animal of a car.

It had me smiling the noise the insane rate of acceleration what a car and auto...

Notice the difference between a genuinely fast car and a 330d smile

Very much so.

I think it does 0-100 in just under ten seconds v c15-16 seconds for mine. The numbers don't do that time difference justice. Ferocious acceleration wouldn't be under stating it.

Iriginally some four years ago it was this car which was going to replace my fiat coupe 20 vt in my mind at the time that would be a very notable step up in performance and also give a nod to family abilities with the estate.

Could it overtake my 330d with me throttle wide open and it behind on a single carriageway.... Every single time unless in limp mode.

What a car.
The noise I'm envious
The amazing acceleration - want
Also I'm very fond of it's really agressive looks

Subtle and a total machine.
So glad I had the pleasure of experiencing as other have said here a really fast car it's in a different league

I was in my van on Sunday morning at about 8.00am. The motorway was therefore quite quiet. I was in the inside lane doing about 85 leptons. Behind me (about 300 metres away) were a couple of mlms and someone in the outside lane overtaking them.

The outside lane soon cleared and I saw something blue and Audi-ish accelerating away from the others. It was building and building and came past me (seemed like a few seconds later) at an unbelievable rate!

It was an RS6 and was an '09 plate I think. Are these V10 TT's? Sorry, not up on Audis. It was searingly quick though for an estate.

I'm sure Audi would say it's derived from the R8 V10 wink (Which incidentally has MANY Lambo badges on parts the customer can't see)

you joke, by my mx5 was definitely quicker than a gt3 rs round the Carousel.

I admit, the pork in question had just overtaken me at a vast rate of knots, and disappeared over the horizon seconds later, but for those few seconds I was quicker. I guess he'd ground out going round there the previous lap and was taking it easy..

Honetly can you run this model RS6 avant doing 26k commuting miles a year plus guessing up to 5k private?

Currently I refuel once a week at the least clearly with this RS6 I'd be filling up twice to three times every week....
Are they designed to handle big miles ?

What option would there be which could give similar performance

if you can afford the fuel and general servicing bills then they'll cope with big miles no sweat. it's what the super saloons are designed for....thundering down the autobahn at silly speeds all day long, whilst being civilised around town, or on a winters morning when the weather is dreadful, and provide a quick turn of pace around a lovely road when you want them too.

30k miles/year won't be much of an issue for the engine, but it might be for your wallet.
