Range Rover Evoque Needs a petrol manual

Hi ive been looking at buying one but the auto petrol does 0-60 in 7.1 the auto diesel does 8 so why oh why does the manual diesel do 0-60 in 9.5 !!!!!

So landrover make a manual petrol version and you would have a few new customers even Evo magazine think the same and body else agree ?

Didn't they make a Freelander with a Straight 6? I can't recall it being a big seller

2.5 V6 I think, certainly haven't seen many about!

177 bhp and 22 mpg might have something to do with that, and 0-60 in over 10 seconds.

My aunt and uncle had one which was nothing but trouble from the word go - it needed a new engine at 15k and was in the garage every other week. And it did about 15mpg.

A friend of a friend had one in a burnt orange. It sounded good, but was very thirsty and he didn't keep it for very long.
