I have a thing about Google'ing reg's of previous cars etc and whilst bored earlier I discovered my OH's Dad's old Jeep was in a 2008 film..

http://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_290861-Jeep-Cherokee-...

I prepared the car for sale in March 07 and it was filmed late 07 so it looks like it went straight to a film set (I forget who he sold it to)

Was quite a surprised, its some sort of knive crime horror but needles to say we've bought it from ebay for £6 - possible Christmas gift!

Anyone else found anything similar on Google or the above site?

I also spent 10 mins adding previous cars to: http://www.regarchive.com/

Is that the film Eden Lake? It's the only film I can recall with a Jeep Cherokee in..Can't remember all that much of the film except A.) It's gruesome B.) Compounds my hatred of chav culture and C.) The main character crashes the Jeep into a tree, ending up impaling himself.

One of my Lupos was a feature car in Practical Performance Car mag.

The other Lupo was in a Porche mag that covered a PH meet too, but I never managed to get a copy of that one.

Although not a 'film', my Griffith was featured on 'Used Car Roadshow' for 5 minutes a few years ago.

I have the DVD of the programme at home. Will try to upload it when I get home. (If anybody's interested in seeing it)

Other way round for me - we did our entire honeymoon around South Africa in the P38 Range Rover that Lianardo De Caprio used in Blood Diamond.

This isn't a film so we'll give it an O/T- but it interesting car history.

My old mans 1934 3.5 Bentley (sadly sold now) was used as a runabout by the head of desgin a A.V.Roe I believe (Avro of The Lancaster eventually). He didn't buy it was given to him by Bentley. Corporate dealings to ensure Rolls Royce Merlin's were brought for Avro planes during the war.

I have no proof, and no real reason for thinking that apart from the above. But I like the idea, so I choose to believe it.
