Garage lighting and flooring - any advice?

Hello PH'ers.

Recently had a new garage/office built and I'm looking into lighting solutions for the garage area. Wanted to avoid fluorescent but will consider the brightest/most cost effective/energy efficient solutions on your recommendations of course.

Has anyone got any advice?

Armour core cabling and fuse box all ready to go, just need to get some descent (useable) light in there!

Also looking into flooring, can anyone point me towards some half decent garage flooring to lay?
