Hi Guys / Gals

Stolen Saturday Morning Derby Area
1 x VW Beetle in Silver Reg: YR11WXF
1 x Audi 2.0tdi Cabriolet Grey Reg No: N40NLF
1 X Vauxhall Insignia SRI Estate Silver/Grey Reg No: FP11WZX

Some scum bag broke into my house sat morning whilst we were a sleep and stole all three of the above plus other items, Police think they may still be in the Derby Area stole around 4.00am - 5.00am approx. as they have not triggerd any ANPR across the country as yet.

Keep them peeled if you see anything just call the rozzers even if it turns out false etc rather you waist some of there time we might get a result also any sightings please post on here

Many Thanks

thoughts are with OP on this frown

after reading a few of these break in threads i bought a yale keypad safe and bolted it to the floor in the cupboard under the stairs

car keys live in there now, should slow a thief down a bit, hopefully long enough for me to get my 5 foot broad sword smile

Sorry to hear about this OP, I'm originally from Derby so it pains me to hear about.

Out of interest, how does claiming on the insurance work since they were stolen with the keys, car insurance or home Insurance?

Sorry to hear frown

What strikes me as odd is that I thought the majority of these types of thefts were done to order. Thieves eye up a single car (e.g. RS4's) to break for parts or to use in a grab and run on a cash machine or whatever. For them to take all 3 cars of such varying type seems odd. How do they shift them? Who takes them off their hands when they've taken them?

I have a feeling they're likely to be found in storage. Good luck OP

I am as baffled as you we have had an RS4 plus other cars with high value, but these are pretty much run of the mill the VW was a 1.6 for gods sake, but again think they are going to be cloned so some poor FFFF might loose his/hers £££££ when the law gets involved and the ins company get it back which again is another story all in its self. All are being claimed from the car Ins side of things as thats what got stolen, just bugs me so much had another drive around some ste areas etc to see if parked up as the police said they could be waiting for a few days to make sure they are not trackered up etc quite common so they tell me?????? before they changeplates and move them on or use in other crimes etc etc, would not like the VW as a get away car though!!!!

The OP hasn't been back since he reported the thefts. I's suggest you approach the police and ask questions.
