Merc S600 Pullman reborn
Iconic luxury Merc to make a return as flagship model in 2013

A 21st-century take on the legendary S 600 Pullman is on the cards following the death of the Maybach brand, according to German car mag Auto Bild.
Based on the next-generation S-class (W222 in Merc-speak), the new flagship model will be a whopping 6.5 metres long, enough to allow an extra row of rear-facing seats in the passenger compartment.
As is befitting of such a car, it will also get a V12 motor (even though the original could only muster V8 power), though details are scarce beyond that.
Still, it all sounds pretty appealing to us. But it remains to be seen whether the 21st-century equivalents of Coco Chanel, Hugh Hefner, Elizabeth Taylor, John Lennon, George Harrison, Aristotle Onassis, Jack Nicholson, Simon Spies, Ronnie Wood, Bob Jane, Frank Packer, Elvis Presley, Rowan Atkinson, Jeremy Clarkson, Ceausescu, Tito, Castro, Pol Pot, Enver Hoxha, Leonid Brezhnev, Kim Il-sung, Kim Jong-Il and Idi Amin (and breathe) will approve of the new Pullman...

As for the car itself, I like the idea - we'll see about the execution, though..
Oh, and Rawwr, Rowan Atkinson is already listed in the article
