Exceptional Customer Service often goes unreported, so I just wanted to say what a great experience I've had from Ring Automotive Ltd.

I've owned one of their SmartCharger16 products for several years and it recently died. I emailed them to ask if there was an internal fuse I should check as the fuse in the plug was fine, and they responded that there was but it was hard-wired and if it had blown it would be an indication that the unit was pretty ill, and if it was under warranty to send it back to them.

I explained that it wasn't, and furthermore I couldn't afford to replace it right now and it was a shame as it was a brilliant product (which it is).
So they said to send it to them anyway and they would repair it free of charge on an ex gratis basis.
I did and 6 days after sending it back I received a brand new replacement unit at no cost.

So I just wanted to publicly thank Ring for absolutely exceptional customer service.

You're right, we all too often hear of bad customer service.

I bought a suit 18 months ago and the trousers fell apart after little wear. I made the retailer aware as I was so disappointed - new pair of trousers sent. I even made reference to the fact that after 18 months I expect nothing!
