A fellow PHer kindly highlighted to me that I have been discussed & accused of conning people out of money for Pontiac Fiero parts.

The thread has since been deleted.

Does anyone know who started the rumour & can a mod please let me have the content of the thread?

It was called "my first post, sorry if it's my last"

Thanks
Kentish

The same thing was repeated by two or three posters on the forum he linked to as well. Basically he was acusing you of getting the bits you purchased from them, filing a compalint about non existent goods, then having got the money back, going to the PO depot, paying the import duty, and thus getting the bits for the cost of the import duty.

So you linked to some images from a photobucket site therefore you stole a bunch of Fiero parts.

its seemed a lot more than that, they had his name, home address and email along with ebay account, and scanned details of the sales in question

Yes but the only connection between Kentish and the eBay thing was that he posted some pictures from the scammer's (Chris Kenvyn) photobucket account. Whether he is Chris Kenyvn or not isn't clear... pretty big fking leap of faith in the 'logic'.

And more to the point, why would anyone bother getting parts for an abysmal mid eighties American pseudo-sports car?

I think that exonerates him.

Hmmmm...

New suspect methinks?

That's a joke by the way. I'm sure 300bhp is an honourable man that would never rip off fellow sufferers of crap car purchasing disorder.

Other posters have the main issues covered it seems. Seemed like mistaken identity to me as you posted a few pics from the guy in questions PB account (I think)

Thanks folks; I just posted a reply to set the record straight on the Fiero forum thread.

I have actually bought a kit off the guy in question!

The OP of said thread was rather cryptic, simply mentioned they'd tracked 'someone' they believed to be a scammer on a Dutch Fiero site to here from a photobucket link.

Thanks all; I really appreciate the help & support here.

It's not nice to learn that others are discussing you in such a way when you are not the person they assume you to be!

Thanks again and seasons greetings to one and all smile

So you didn't refuse to pay the customs fee, claim you hadn't got the item and then claim a refund off Paypal, before trundling along to the Post Office and picking up the other one waiting for you?

I didn't trust those guys on the forum anyway, their grammar and spelling was st.

he didnt no, all he did was post a picture, that had a tag in them that was the name of the person who had ripped them off.
