Me and a few mates are looking at possibly building a few of them rage buggy type things as we have access to a rather large farm that even has a dirt bike race track on it.

found a few plans like these http://www.eziplans.com/CategoryProducts.aspx?Cate... on line, but wondering if anyone has done anything like this before and has any advice or recommendations on specific types.

We are going to be building and using them in Thailand so types that salvage as many parts as possible from Motorbikes is better, also have a ready supply of Honda engines and gearboxes from 250cc to around the 500cc mark!!

Between us we have most of the skills, although a bit rusty, we also have access to all farm tools and of course, no issues with H&S given the location nuts

hey, whats the worst that can happen?? hehe

I've built a kit car but the chassis was already fabricated as part of the kit, I'd love to build something where I cut and weld the chassis together, it would be so much more satisfying at the end of the project knowing you had made all the pieces!

Go for it, but don't forget to start a build thread so we can keep an eye on your progress! smile

No advice but I want to see it done hehe

"we just about have the skills and no H&S legislation applies" - sounds like a recipe for WIN / certain death hehe

Well, my mate who owns the farm has a TiG welder and a good stock of old steel that we can learn on hehe
