Most sporty car your mom ever owned?

Not talking about cars put in your dear mothers name by your dad or you. But cars that she actually drove on a regular basis.

My Mum had a GT-4 too, an ST185 though.

Dad had the n/a version as a company car at the time, matching colours!

I guess it would be a red XR2. I hardly remember it though which is a shame, but I do know she used to drive it hard...

Until the cam belt went anyway.

After that she's had standard mum cars and now has a very low mileage 206 CC.

ETA: The best car she had was a morris minor convertible.

Not bad as a car to learn to drive in and use after you passed your test. Felt maga fast aster the 1.1 Micra my driving instructor used.

Just something with a bit more grunt/flair than a regular mum-mobile.

I'll never forget the day my mum was late for work and she dropped me out the front of school where all my mates were waiting for me, then *accidentally* did an almighty burnout down the road. I was in everyones cool books after that

Technically she also 'owns' a 987 Boxster, but whilst she is on the V5 and has her number plate on it, it is actually Dad's retirement toy.

She stacked it into a parked oldsmobile in London while racing her mate in a Triumph Stag

You can tell its a moms car too - look at the way the alloys are kerbed

My Mum currently drives a blue Focus ST with black alloys.


She is 62.

She has had an ST170, XR3i and a few larger engined triumphs.

She also has a 1.8 Mk2.5 MX5 as her weekend toy.

A Suzuki Swift 1.3 GS! It was like the version down from the GTi. Fairy quick in its day (I passed my test in it) and it had a rev counter, sporty steering wheel and two tone paint and everything :-)
