Hey all,
I'm finally in the market for a new car and I love the 350z, I was aiming to spend around 10k on one in January... but now I've started looking at the 370z and prefer it's styling, it's superior build, improved 0-60, more stable etc.
Thing is that a decent 370z will be in excess of 20k. Wondered what people's point of view is - is it worth the difference in price at the moment?
I'm pretty much sold on one of the two, looked at Z4, S2000 etc but just prefer the Nissan.
Point of view?

To be fair your comparing a £10k car with a £20k car, you also need to ask yourself, how does a 370z compare with other £20k carsI'm finally in the market for a new car and I love the 350z, I was aiming to spend around 10k on one in January... but now I've started looking at the 370z and prefer it's styling, it's superior build, improved 0-60, more stable etc.

Z4 3.0i is probably a closer comparison to the two Japanese cars, non?S2000 - 240bhp
350z - 280BHP
370z - 330BHP
From what i've seen the Z4M doesnt run rings around the 370Z unless its rings of slug trails and residue from being shafted by BMW service costs

As a car to own and drive, I would go for a Z4M without a moments hesitation, the 350z has a great engive, good handling blah blah blah, but I found the car had terrible tyre roar on motorways and was really dull, paper statistics do not add up in the real world. However, never driven a 370z, so that may be a big step up over the older car.
Gieven the price drop in recent years on a Z4M, I reckon it is a second hand bargain right now.
Thanks for replies.
In response the the "why don't you get a Cayman", I can't reasonably explain other than my own preference, I prefer the 370z styling and the Cayman just feels a bit easy, and whilst thats a stupid reason not to get one it's just not my bag.
Interesting comments about the Z4M though, might take a look at those. Presuming the insurance a complete nightmare on them though...

In regards to the Z4M, love the styling but reviews don't seem to be that great.
A lot of people seeming to think that it's one of the poorest 'M' cars been made, extremely hard ride, much more expensive than the 3.0 but not much better performance, handling not that great, poor interior, expensive servicing etc...
Is this just BMW bashers or is this a common perception?
