HPI Checks - Is there a European Equivalent?

Hello All,

Obviously I wouldn't buy a used car in the UK without first running an HPI check, I was wondering if I were to buy a car from Europe is there an equivalent? At the moment I can't seem to find any?

Any particular country? If HPI is UK specific perhaps there are particulars for each country in Europe?
