Hey Guys,

I’m hoping you can help me here, I’m thinking of getting a private plate for my new car but I’m not sure how I go about doing it. I will be going in to the dealers on Thursday to finalise things (I bought the car on Christmas Eve so was unable to get everything done then). Would I be best to buy the plate now ready for when I go down on Thursday or should I wait until I have the car (most likely next week) and then start the ball rolling with getting all the plate stuff sorted?

Also if I get the car, change my insurance over and then change the license plates after this will I be hit with an additional admin charge to make the updates to my policy?

Thanks,
DD
