Whats your motoring related New Years resolution?
Discussion
So here we are again with another year nearly over and I just remembered that I started a new years resolution thread last year http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a... so I thought I would see:
a) if anyone from the original thread had managed to meet their resolutions
b) what are everyone's for this year
For me the E class is now on the road but still having problems on long runs, the Shogun now has a new gearbox, but the 7 series has only done about 15 miles since last year.
So next years will be to:
Make some progress on the BMW and now that I have passed my test find something small and fun to drive when I'm in not in my diesel Corsa.
Over to the masses

Mine:
Part 1: don't waste any more petrol on comuting in a boring, hateful car and buy a year of public transport [done]:

Part 2: get a fun car to be enjoyed when ever possible. Currently thinking of this:

Part 3: this is where it gets difficult. Come up with the right man maths to fit a nice shed in the picture

k) had 24 lessons, average my instructor said was about 35. Passed 2nd time though but feels good to pass, best of luck with the lessons and tests mate. Drop the 650, its very capable and very fast but so so boring. Its effortless but I want more drama.
Probably refresh the bottom end on the old racer's engine.
Finish this MGB Sebring by the end of january.
And if I haven't spent my money on girls, I might look at a chimaera.

I am hoping to pass by March, but I think that may be cutting it a bit fine.
Thats 2 months? Plenty of time if you've already got the basics... (Y) I am hoping to pass by March, but I think that may be cutting it a bit fine.

- I did Jan - April this year...As for my resoloution, find money to cover the last 7 months of insurance before i go to uni.

It is possible, if you have 2 lessons a week, or you might just adapt to driving pretty quickly. You done your theory yet? if not book it now, you can wait about 3 weeks for the theory test, i had to wait 7 weeks for my test (1st time) but i managed to get a cancellation straight away so re took my test 2 weeks later. I spent about 6 months having lessons. I am hoping to pass by March, but I think that may be cutting it a bit fine.
