I don't know if it is just my laptop speakers, but that sounds horrific. Like a marble in a tin can, and then after 2mins (when it's warm) it sounds like the Mk3 Golf across the street trying to start on a cold morning.

No, that's what it's meant to sound like. I think it sounds awful too, but I think it's a culturally acquired taste.
