Fastest cars in band K or lower road tax band

[versus]

I was wondering which cars registered after March 2006 are the fastest regardless of price that come into the Band K or lower tax band (£260 per year or less). Please only UK carsd not imports.... so far I have seen:

- BMW 335
- Porsche Boxster / Cayman 3.4

Can anyone add to this ?

Can't remember exactly how much tax is but my evo ix fq360 is less than £260 a year.

Edit: it was registered Dec 2006 so that may be why.

I checked the renewal form and it's £215 for the year. I'm sure there's faster cars in the band but i thought that was pretty good going given the awful mpg/emissions.

Edit: Had a quick search of tinternet and apparently this is because some evos were registered as PLG and avoid the top rate. Win.

Quite a few IX's are in this tax bracket.

I think imports don't have emission data hence you can have a 6L Camaro and pay lower tax. I was really more interested in the fastest cars sold for the UK market that are lower than the highest band of road tax.

Just buy older plg job done can go as fast as you like for £200 odd a year pre 2001 is it?

In the context of buying a fast car, surely does anybody really care about £260 a year or £460? Fuel consumption is a bigger issue than a little £16.66 PM. Without wishing to sound rude but if that sort of money is a trouble then I'd suggest a nice diesel may suit!

Glad someone posted this. Hopefully the OP is only looking at this as a point of interest rather than using this as a criteria to choose a fast car.
