any VW central locking experts on PH......?

I would be really grateful if somebody could help me out with the following - I am just about to sell a 2007 VW Fox and need to locate the central locking convenience unit as I am having problems with the c/l. I have tried under the dash, under the seats etc but can't find it anywhere! Any pointers on where it is would be gratefully received.

I have tried the VW dealer but the chap clearly did not have a clue what he was talking about (yes sir, the unit is located underneath the drivers seat and will cost approx. £300 for the unit and another £300 to fit as we need to remove the seat....). From what I can gather it's either the key or the unit and I can get a cheap unit from ebay and a key from VW (although they have quoted £40 for the key fob and another £70 to programme it even though the manual says you can pair it with the car yourself).

I'm not an expert, but have you checked in the boot behind any of the plastic trims? That's where the CL unit is on a Polo anywho.
