Auxiliary oil gauges, Help.

So one of the next projects I'd like to do with the car is to install a pair of mechanical oil gauges - pressure and temperature.

After a bit of research, I bought a sandwich plate to run them off, but still cant decide which gauges to get.
Every set I look at seems to have a problem - one gauge is horrifically expensive, has an odd thread fitting, etc.
I've been looking at brands like Tim and SW, on ebay mostly, for around £30 - 40 per gauge.

Can anyone recommend some, or even share some tips if you've done it yourself.
I'm ideally looking for nice clean, simple ones, not the garish bright colours on some websites, and a maximum budget of about £100, less if possible. The threads on the sandwich plate are 1/8 NPT.

Racetech do a combined mechanical one ( unless you really want 2 gauges )



I've had a non-mechanical SPA combined one in the past but it's digital display with settable alarms and records peaks

I fitted an oil temp gauge to my kitcar by fitting a special sump plug that was drilled and tapped for the thread of the temp sender, all that was needed then was to wire it in -easy. It already has an oil pressure gauge line from a T piece where the electric sender goes. I believe you should be able to get an electrical sender to do the trick.
You'd be best to talk with companies that supply gauges for kitcars etc they'll also have any adaptors that you need.

Smiths gauges have always appealed to me for their simple uncluttered looks.

It's worth having a browse on speedy cables. There's even the option to design your own if you really can't find any that you like the look of.
