Yes I know its 11pm on a fri night thus this may not get many replies here but thought I'd try anyway.

My sister in law was involved in an accident y'day. The car looks to be a write off and her basic, no frills insurance means she isn't entitled to a hire car whilst waiting for the insurance to settle.

So she's just going to purchase another straight away. So any good deals around at the moment?

She does about 700/800 miles a month. Mixed driving. She wants something around the £10k mark. I have advised her a nearly new car would be better but she has her heart set on a new one and wants a zero percent finance deal (do these even exist anymore)?

So new car+around £8-10k in value+interest free finance. Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance for all suggestions.

OP, you do realise that 0% is just a marketing exercise?

Autoworld in Chesterfield have been advertising a 0% on the local radio. This was in the run up to Christmas, don't know if they are still doing it.

I wouldn't do it, but the OP asked the question. We're dealing with his sister, so there's not much point in using rational.

I keep seeing young chavvy lads in those 1.2 Corsas, done up to look like something faster with a body kit, alloys and different coloured roofs. I believe they are about £13k on the 0% deal!

If she wasn't at fault in the accident, the other insurance company will cover a courtesy car.

Skoda are doing 0%. However, still people can't stomach the badge.

Stoneacre also do 0% finance on their used stock, but I'm sure they make money in the long run.

Toyota are advertising exactly this at the moment, was in the time today on a new Yaris VVT Petrol. 0% over 3 years I think it was.

Car looks good too, all the kit. perfect 'for the mrs' type thing.

I was reading it because I'm sick to death of fixing her car, I dont mind my own but hers causes hassle. Tempted to just get her into something with a warranty.

This thing here - looks quite neat.

I know which I'd rather have out of this and a Corsa...
