Reasonable to ask dealer to pay for my insurance?

If the dealer has given you a courtesy car while yours is in the garage, then yes it's unreasonable since you are effectively no worse off. Otherwise get asking!
Depends what you class as a courtesy car. I got given their 'run around' which was a s
tty 15yr old Citroen Xsara that has trim hanging off it, stained seats, stinks of petrol, busted handbrake, broken fuel gauge....Hardly a substitute for an AMG Merc...

I would be more worried about the fact it has taken a month.
You do realise it is costing you more than £100/month for the pleasure of Xsara
HNY.
At the moment I'm not even sure if I want the car back after it is repaired. Me and a mate could have replaced the TQ converter on my driveway using ramps and bottle jacks in a few days, but the garage have just been dragging their heels looking for cheap ways to get around the problem. You do realise it is costing you more than £100/month for the pleasure of Xsara

I still need to charge them for the recovery and garage costs when it tried to suck some rubber trim into the engine on day 3 of my ownership!
But worst of all i've got to go and meet clients in this battered peice of s
t on Tuesday.jimxms said:

It sounds like £100 towards your insurance won't cut it even if they do give it to you. Why don't you just get your money back and go somewhere else. I still need to charge them for the recovery and garage costs when it tried to suck some rubber trim into the engine on day 3 of my ownership!

I remember your first thread, I also remember a lot of people telling you to get a refund on the car. Unfortunately you've probably missed the window for that now so you are likely to be stuck with the expensive old banger. While you will have lost money already, if I were you I'd be getting the car back from the dealer and trying somewhere else. If you did a similar job in a few days there is no reason it should have taken a month to do it.

shouldnt have bought that shoddy old shed in the first place was always asking for trouble
I don't get why it's a shed? It suffered with the same problem that almost all E and C classes did between 2003-2006 and I've been lucky enough to have someone else foot the several grand repair bill!Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
