Possibly linked to the cars to Romania thread? Auction would fetch less than they offer. Where do they off load?

yep, they all go off to a big field where the traders climb all over them (rob whatever parts they can get into their pockets) and get sold to the highest bidder. They get sold on at trade(ish) price, hence why they offer you peanuts in the first place thumbup

They either go to car craft (these tend to be the ones they can offer better money on) or auction at bca.

At BCA under UKcgr.com and a few other banners I recall. Always fascinated by the stock. Some nice kit, and low mileage stuff, such that I would love to know the story behind them. Their business model fascinates me.

They seem to have got it working quite well for them. Does tally up with what people say in the other threads though, if you get offered crap money (i.e. below trade) chances are they will just stick is straight through auction and probably not make much profit. If they offer a good price then its something they will sell on themselves at retail.

I guess their target will be newish stuff, which is owned out-right and whose owners are in sudden need of some cash and likely to take a quick £6k rather than waste time holding out for say £8.5K. Sell to trade for £7k within a week and job done, easy money.
They will not really be interested in anything 'classic' or 'specialist' as it will be more hassle than its worth to them, hence the peanuts offered for such things as air-cooled porkers or 205 Gti's and such like.

Quick turnaround and easy profit.

They put them through a worm-hole to another galaxy where there is a planet where cars are more highly sought after.

I don't think they ever buy any cars, it's purely a cunning scam set up by dastardly car dealers so when you guffaw at their p/x offer they can say 'you won't get a better offer elsewhere sir, just try webuyanycar and you will see what a good price I've given, in fact I'll be losing money on it' etc.

Missed the previous threads sos. Interesting answers gents thanks. I was offered a car over Christmas that i didn't really want but the guy was strapped and said if I pay him any more than said website the cars mine and gave me their quote. I put the vehical details in myself and recieved a far lesser quote than the one I was given (yup) so didn't bite his hand off. Got me wondering about the business model.

Appologies again mrmr96 I too have felt the pain of reading about a subject more than once, takes some getting over.
