Not very PH but still exciting...

Pick up a pre-reg 61 plate VW California (camper) 180PS 4 Motion on Monday.

PH bits - 180bhp is a fair bit, 4Motion is pretty useful, chose the manual box over the DSG and it has two turbos, plus nice 17" alloys.

The non PH bits - it weighs 2.5 tonnes, it has a cutlery drawer and curtains/blinds and it isn't very fast.

Picking it up on Monday - natural grey (metallic mid grey), Thunder alloys, anthracite interior, etc.

Going to be a lot less to run that our 110 I hope - half the RFL will be helpful as will the much better mpg.

I fly up Monday then drive it 350ish miles home - should hopefully be enough to run it in a bit!

2.0 bi-turbo four pot engine. Roof lifts on its own via some clever hydraulic electric motors. Sleeps two up, two down.

Definitely nippy for a van but realistic that 60 in over 12s isn't exactly road rocket stuff!

VW vans aren't my cup of tea but at least it's a VAG Diesel (tunable) and you won't be sat at 40mph blocking "A" roads and getting a wobble on as soon as there's a Squirrel fart of wind from the side.

Love these, can't wait to see pics. With a remap it'll be quicker than most shopping trolleys and should stick to the back of a boggo rep-mobile - although this depends on how much of your cutlery you want to remain in said draw!
