well I can only assume that was the situation, given that they were driving a Fiat 500 Tributo Ferrari edition. 30 grand for a 500?

Think of what you could buy for that, and not just the three ordinary 500s.

Why not?

If they can afford it and need a little city runaround, I see no problem with it.

I know you could buy serious metal for the money, But they could have an Enzo at home in the garage for all you know. Maybe money doesn't matter to them. smile

ETA: If I had 150k to spend on a car, I'd buy a mint Sapphire Cosworth and a E36 M3.... Build a proper speced garage and save the rest.

and theres nothing wrong with that

and if you want a luxury city car you have very little choice, the aston cygnet, the fezza 500 or the A1 which specs at what 35k loaded?

Driving it doesn't mean owning it. It might have been a car salesman behind the wheel.

true enough he may not have owned it, and indeed if you take value for money to its extreme nobody would ever buy anything except a base spec fiat panda or something but I still think this particular example is a bit daft. If you need a city runaround then you don't need the performance of your runaround surely (eg the Cygnet which is just a nicer place to be I suppose) but anyway this car was seen in the outskirts of Barnsley so its hardly the congested inner city anyway.
