Is the peugeot 306 1.9 xudt a good reliable engine, im about to purchace a 306 1.9 DTurbo with 166,000 miles on it will it be reliable or on its way out?
Generally they are good, however you dont know who its been owned by? Previously a boy racer?

Checks it had a cambelt done recently, if not get it done - in fact just do it anyway. These are good for 200k miles +. Ensure well looked after and good service history and it could be a very good car.
Seats are rubbish, and I think the grommets chewed thru the wiring to the drivers door on mine, so I lost central locking and obviously could no longer lock the boot.
