Not ready to buy, just pondering (as one does!)

What would you buy and why?

For me, I'd love the T350, I love the 'specialist' nature of the car, it looks special and performs as it should
Cayman 2.7 or 3.4 is a lovely car but maybe a bit 'safe'? I know they're an excellent car of course.
Z4MC is also supposed to be quite special, I like BMWs but I wonder about the image. Got plenty of poke.
Elise, a long term favourite of mine. Hasn't got the sheer power of the others but has handling on its side.

Find an Elise fitted with a Honda K20 (the engine from the Civic Type-R). Enjoy 9 odd seconds to 100mph and fantastic agility.

T350 everytime, if my budget had streched to a T350 I would have bought one rather then my Cerb.

I can't remember who said it, but it always sticks in my mind.

The Z4MC is the best TVR BMW has ever made.

Lotus everytime for me but I am rather biased. Cayman and BMW are competent but dull, the TVR is the wildcard tho' and would be my choice out of the runners up.

I think the answer depends on whether you want a car for all weathers, moods and journeys, or one for summer weekend thrashes.

Cayman or Beemer for the former, TVR or Elise for the latter.

Don't think I've ever heard a Z4M being called dull.

Have you driven one? I tested both the BM and the Cayman before buying the Lotus, neither had that special feel after the drive. Hey but that's only my opinion.

No, I don't have any experience of a properly fast car, not as a driver anyway.

Still surprised though given what the majority of people say about them.

Although a lot of things are going to feel civilised compared to an Elise or TVR.

I've test driven Z4MC and Elise 111S and Elise R. The Elise is a special car, I cannot deny...but the Z4MC was a brilliant experience. I got out of smiling like a moron.

Pity I couldn't justify the running costs so had to 'settle' with the 3.0Si Coupe.

Nor have I, in fact I'd say it was probably anything but dull, makes you wonder how many people have driven such cars when they post complete tripe.

With regards to the op the only one I don't have experience of is the TVR so can't comment on that, you do need to provide more context though as they are all quite different.

T350c for thrills, noise, and rarity.

Cayman for ability.

Elise for sheer fun.

Z4MC for errrrrrmmm
