Thinking of getting my "summer car" back on the road.
Discussion
Hi I have E36 M3 cab which for the last three years has been a summer car and off the road for the winter. I've done the same this year but with it being so mild I'm tempted to get it back on the road early.
I just know though if I do we will get 4 foot of snow and bloody gritters will be everywhere
Anybody else doing/done the same?

From my (admittedly poor) memory in recent years winter doesn't tend to hit until Feb and goes until April.
So you may regret it.
Last year was bad, we had a foot of snow Xmas day. But as it happens we had the first heavy frost today, and the gritters have been out in force so I think I'll leave it a few weeks. So you may regret it.

Are M3/M5's made of rice paper, or something less durable. Get the beeping things out on the road and enjoy the lovely winter sunshine you tarts. Just give the things a damn good pressure wash, underneath, if there has been any salt put down. My Elise is far more fragile, and that might be coming out on Monday.

I concur. I've seen a couple of 911 GT3 CS out on the road recently, not mention a various array of Ferraris. M3 & M5's are designed to be used not stored! Enjoy them! You know it makes sense...Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff

Don't really get the idea of "garage queens".
