Silverstone Driving Experince
Discussion
Just wondering if anyone has ever done a driving experience day at Silverstone, and if it's worth taking a camera for spectators to take some snaps?
Forgot my SLR and I'm staying next to Silverstone so can't travel home for it (over 200 miles away) and was wondering if it's worth buying a compact from Jessops etc just to get some pics?
Cheers.

Definitely worth taking a camera - spectators can stand on a terrace on the roof of the building where you get your helmets etc. whilst the experiences are going on. Gives a good view across Stowe and back along the hangar straight. There was also a grandstand across from the experience centre which you could sit in.
There is a professionally taken photograph available after the experience - they're not cheap but they are good quality.
The Lambo experience I did was excellent - by far the highlight of 2011 for me.

MissBlade did one (Aston Martin Experience) and loved it.
Excellent. Any advice on whether the camera is necessary mate?
I got some cracking shots of her on track with mine.
Although there will be a Professional photographer there with pictures available immediately after her session.
Along with a copy of the incar video, with on-screen speed readout and a live position circuit map and a little view from the 2nd camera (In-car) looking at her..
..they put it all on a USB stick for you at extra cost, I don't recall how much extra it was but it was WELL WORTH getting imho
