Hi people new member here. Time has come to sell the Boxster and get something a bit bigger. I'm a large chappy and have put on some good muscle in last few months and only getting bigger so need a bigger car. Thinking monaro/M5/AMG ML. Any thoughts. £10,000 absolute limit

Howdy!

Not bad ... 3 posts in and a brave declaration of being Powerfully Built.

Obvious answer is to go and sit in a few candidates and check the car is man enough to contain you.

Oh, good luck with this thread. smile

I'd go ML55!! Great value at the moment!! Not as bad on fuel as you'd think.
I've had mine 9 months now and it's the first time in 5 years I've not replaced my daily within 3 months.
In 9 months ive replaced the crank sensor and front pads!!

An ML55 will probably be about as reliable as Jeffrey Archer at a libel trial.

Is the X5 4.6/4.8is out of budget?

If you've got £10k then what about a Cayenne?
If my wife wouldn't cut off my nads that's what I'd go for?

Those wheels would have me running a mile, that is dreadful.
Think the ML looks pretty dated now and so does the X5... Cayenne or its volkswagen counterpart id be looking at

Seeing as you're so fking powerfully built ( and no doubt growing a goatee as I type) how about an old Routemaster bus?
You'll definitely fit in one of those.

Oh, you're not a company director as well are you?

And welcome, enjoy your time here smile
