I'm a big fan of properly modified, big power cars with lots of FI. LSx engines must be the cheapest bang per buck and respond really well to forced induction. However, I've just seen this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WSneIlCfYFE

Is this the fastest street car in the world?

I knew RV3 was happening, but I thought it was a ground up new car and RV2 was still out there. I'll have a read at some point.

top speed maybe, but i thought the pumped up veryon was faster

but in terms of acceleration the road legal dragsters would leave it for dead, the 9ff may as well leave the handbrake on

Good over the 1/4 but arguably not something you'd drive to the other end of the country? This thread is for every day driveable cars.

Perhaps you should have stated that in your OP..

For reference, RV3 is perfectly usable on the street.

And you think that GTR is going to be a reliable daily driver?

Don't know, never driven it. It is impressive though.

That RV machine is pretty awesome, but for me it is too far detached from road use. That GTR is a way better all rounder, but i suspect also has an element of impracticality.

Would like to see a modified Veyron - 3000hp anyone?

i am surprised one hasnt been done by underground racing, and this kills the veyron on the 1/4
