As title, Im looking to replace the front self adhesive plate on my pre-2001 car. eBay seems to be full of potential vendors, but theyre all offering the new font, or a selection of abominations - none seem to offer the old size legal font, nor understand why I want it (because with the CW font my plate is obviously new, and therefore illegal).

In summary then: I want to buy a replacement plate in the year 2000, but the next best thing will be a plate which has a reflective background, old style legal spacing and font size and no suppliers name - can anyone help?

This is made more difficult due to the fact that there wasnt actually a 'legal font' before 2001, only specified dimensions. Most vehicles used a similar font though, although Im struggling to find a name for it.

I've got these guys bookmarked, I was going to get the original made up for my Astra again but in the end realised that there really wasn't any point on a daily snotter. Still pisses me off though hehe

Frampton's

No idea if they are any good but they were recommended on here IIRC when I started a thread a year or so back smile

If they don't, but you find a company that does do them, could you update with who & how much please? smile

Could you not use a local sign writer/printing shop to make the letters up in the font and size you require?

Perhaps. The infuriating thing is that they all offered the font until relatively, but now they all seem to be using a computer application which doesnt support it.

I'll try Framptons, as they mention self adhesive plates, although they dont show them.
