Hi guys and gals,
My name's Hannah and I'm a newbie although I know a few of you! For those of you that don't know me I'm an absolute car nut, hence why I'm here.
My car history is a bit boring, my first car was this understated (ahem) R50 Mini One

Which went on a few track days.

Last Summer I replaced it with this beauty, really pleased with the turbo but wish I could have the wine of a supercharger (can't have everything eh?)

It's pretty specced up, with more than I could ever need but mainly bought it for track days.
This is also looking sorry for itself in a barn near Goodwood which I am going to rectify this year, poor thing.

Lots planned for this year including track days, 'Ring trips, Goodwood and hopefully Pistonheads meets.
Thanks for reading :-)

Welcome
What do you intend to do to the Porsche...a full restoration, or revive it to not look sorry for itself?
It started life as a C2 and then had loads of money and heartache chucked at it to turn it in to a RS rep boasting a 3.8 993 RS lump in it. But now it's in my ownership and being 19 I can't be insured to drive it I don't know what to do. I have two choices, either leave it as it is and wait to drive it, or revive and sell on.

The engine is brand new and driven 200 miles before leaving it standing so will need some work, brakes etc are probably seized on things like that need to be sorted. But everything was brand new when it went on which is sad really.

Welcome to PH Hannah
Any plans to tune the R56 for even more trackday fun?
First thing is to get the damn run flats off and kill them with fire, I'm off to Rockingham in March so that should help. The ride is pretty hard due to the suspension set up these have so they don't help for day to day driving.

I've only done a couple of laps in it which were pretty tame as I'd only been in ownership of it for 2 days. But the car is very capable and smooth and for a front wheel drive car I don't get horrendous understeer, at least not as much as the R50. I didn't buy it with the intention to mod the hell out of it but depending on how I feel after this Summer I might chuck some money at it.
