My iPhone windscreen mount broke this morning so I'm searching for a new one. Are the Brodit mounting solutions worth the extra cost? They look really good but looks like it would cost about £40 for the 'Proclip' and iPhone holder, but another windscreen mount can be had for less than £5.

Any thoughts?

We use Brodits at work. They seem better build and seem more rugged that you're ebay specials. We do suffer with the suckers falling off windscreens, but they're holding something about 5 times the weight of the iphone.

They're very good, I've been using them for various devices and cars for the last 5-6 years. Well recommended, good quality stuff, and no I don't work for them.

To find the best price I usually go to www.proclipusa.com (nice website easy to use), find the model number of mount and device holder I need. Then google that or search in eBay for a better price.

Very Good. They are the only company that supply a holder that bolts into the VW Amarok dashboard clip.

So good in fact VWUK comercial are thinking about listing them in their own dealer fit extras catalogue.

Mine came to nearly £50-00 but it looks almost like a factory install.
