any audi a3 owners?

Just got a 55 plate 5 door A3, the clip to which the parcel shelf attaches to the boot lid is snapped on the right, do i have to buy the full unit as i cant work out how to remove the clip

Exactly the same has happened to mine but the other holds the parcel shelf on its own so it can remain broken. Sorry I cant be of any help.
