evening how all. really in need of assistance in the form of knowlege on how to turn off the alarm on the above car (also on grammar but that another day) it wont start and the alarm has been going off for over half an hour. any advice welcome. tried the fuse box but nothing happening there and the emergency transmitter next to handbrake wont work either. wierdly the key doesnt work either and the only way in was the boot wich was strangely unlocked :S
thanx in advance

On my 106 there is a little button next to the ignition that turns the alarm off.

To temporarily turn it off take the battery out until you find how to actually disable it.

Sounds like an after Market system as the 206 alarms were deactivated by plopping the remote or inserting the key and turning on the ignition.

Worth checking if the car battery is flat as low voltage can interfere with the system particularly on the models fitted with multiplex wiring. These were introduced in late 2002 iirc.

Aftermarket was a thought of mine tbh. And its a 53 plate so it would be the plex wiring. Not my car though sadly. Going to unplug the battery and see. As for the fix and fill - good shout. Might shut it the feck up haha

If you get desperate you'll just have to chop the speaker off, your neighbours will be getting pretty annoyed I imagine wink
