I run a set of bare polished alloys on my car all year round and do my best to keep them clean.

However as the car is parked up on my drive for weeks at a time, the wheels would benefit from some sort of fabric cover to keep the rain off them.

I can find sets available in the USA like this:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/140680349340?ssPageName=...

But nothing similar in the UK. Searching eBay for 'wheel covers' just turns up thousands of plastic wheel trims.

Any pointers guys?

Surely covering them will encourage corrosion due to lack of circulation?

Bin bags. Job done.

Standard for everyone to have a spare set of winter wheels/tyres here in Switzerland; as you have to transport them to garages to swap them over (if you are lazy/incompetent/rich) so generally you get provided with large, round plastic bags so you don't destroy your interior (amazing how much room they take up). But there's not much difference between these bags and bin bags I don't reckon.

Ahh that old link, never wears thin. rolleyes

Unfortunately none of the results on the first 2 pages at least come remotely close to what I asked for and half of the results are not even in the UK.

This looks a bit more like it, but there's no mention of how it fits or what size wheels it supports. I very much doubt many caravans roll on 18's

I sometimes use bin bags when washing the car (so I dont also have to clean the wheels), but they never strike me as being able to stay on very well when it gets windy?

Sorry mate, but those 'let me google' links just make me think . Especially when they don't actually have any relevant results.

I'll have to get them in the US if I can't find any in the UK, but I find it hard to believe I'm gonna have to go so far afield for such a simple thing.

I hope you wheels fall off you miserable .
Nice. Maybe you should consider what people will think of you before you try to belittle them on a public forum by suggesting they don't know how to use a search engine. The irony being that the very example you provide in fact shows that you're no more competent.

Anyway, if anybody has seen wheel covers similar to that posted in my first post I'd be really appreciative of a pointer..

Wow still so much hate after a 4hr cool down period. I've had coffee, asked the same question in a less hostile forum and got told to buy some Sealey CCW4 wheel covers. So I'm happy.

P.S: I hope your knob falls off. You've clearly got far too much pent up aggression.
