Currently have this:

It's done 210k miles owned it since 18k, runs on LPG, has alot of suspension mods, is chipped and is still pretty good fun to drive. Value wise I suspect its worth a grand maybe but the gearbox/diff died yesterday.

I can get a secondhand box for about 150 quid, clutch kit for 180 to convert from dual mass flywheel - clutch never been changed. I'd have to fit it myself. It needs a cambelt soon and a service, another 200 quid and a windscreen before the MOT in may.

Part of me wants to get rid and get something else ( Budget 10k max ) but my need to fix it gene says repair it and carry on with the bangernomics of it all. What's it worth in it's current state? I would put standard wheels on to sell it BTW.

Wifey says put it on ebay with a 500quid reserve and see what happens..

What do PH think?

If you can take it of the road and fix it great....otherwise do the man maths.

sell current car as is = £??

Add up what you would have had to spend fixing it up = £??

Add both the above figures together and that is your new car budgetsmile
