Hi all,
I recently bought a used car, and I have just received a letter from an outfit called retainagroup, who offer a security register service for cars (amongst other things). The windows are etched with a code number, and the company stores the name and contact details of the owner against this code.
Has anyone on here heard of / used this service before? Is it worth parting with the £21 they want to update their records with my details?
Cheers,

john

I bought a car a while back, and I got three or four letters from them. The letters said something along the lines of "We have been notified that the vehicle with the window code UNKNOWN has recently been purchased by you, please send us some money."

Given they didn't actually know the number etched on the windows, I thought "Well you'll be bugger all use if it's nicked then." and shredded the letters.

Haven't heard of Retainagroup but would Microdot work for you?
I used those on my bike... My question was really about retainagroup as my car is already marked by them - and I was wanting to know if it's worth paying to register my new details with them. Thanks for your thought though.
