Hi

A few of us are going for a bit of a fun European weekend.

All hiring cars and going for a play in the mountains.

I'd rather pay a bit more to get something RWD but it doesn't seem to be an option.

So which of the above would be most fun - they don't seem to give any info on exact model / cc so assume base model.

Cheers

I've onyl ever driven 3 of those.

Panda was the most fun, due to the size and the 'city' steering button makes things more fun.

I struggle to drive any focus without needing a new spine and it's one of my most hated cars to drive, ever. Similar story for the fiesta too.

Hire cars are all fun, I have never yet been able to specify exactly what you get before you get there though.

I'd go for either of the Fords from that lot... C1/Aygo are nasty and will be hopeless on hills. The new Fiesta is quite good to drive so at least even if you get a base engine it'll steer quite well at least.

Thanks but I've now found somewhere that hires MX5s !

3x the price but for a long weekend it hardly matters.

You can buy them for as little as £500 for a running one, and sell it back once you've used it wink

I have just had an aygo courtesy car, had it for 2 days and it was bloody awful.

1.0 3cyl, 0-60mph in 15secs! However I had more fun at traffic lights than I ever have in high performance car. It could be very entertaining if you all had one!

I already own one but driving it for 8hrs for 3 days to get there and the same to get back means we have -3 days there.
