Vantage or Evora
Discussion
Aston certainly has the badge, the looks, the noise.. But also has the costs, and not as good to drive (apparently)
Your budget would also get you a very good Evora, possibly even an S, but would be a bottom rung Vantage.
The Evora also comes with 3 years warranty from new so you should get plenty of warranty with it..

Evora, a bit more special than the Aston as you don't see as many around.
Evora more special than a Vantage? I think you mean rarer.
A Vantage is an Aston. Simple as that, really. Nobody will ever need any explanation whatsoever, the noise is really quite amazing particularly if you can take the roof off, and they don't hang about either. A lovely place to sit, too.
The Lotus is supposed to be a more pointed drive, but the earlier cars you'd be looking at do suffer from a raft of niggles, and all are obviously a lot more focused than a Vantage, so really the two cars are completely different propositions.
For what it's worth, I've been in both and could not tire of the Aston's soundtrack. Or just looking at it. Or the fact that I'd own an Aston.
As much as I love Lotus, Vantage hands down here.
I think they are almost very different cars.
The Aston sort of looks great, but it also looks like a DB7 or a Jag XK8 and says posh rich person more than car enthusiast. I also personally much prefer how the older Aston Vantage 5.3 looked.
The Evora to me screams supercar. And I certainly prefer it visually to the Aston. I also think it will feel very different to drive, it's still a sports car. The Aston is a GT.

I'd be surprised if you still have any question in your mind once you've driven both.
This. They are going to be such different machines in prettty much ever way that I'm sure you will know immediately which suits you better.
I would also add the Maserati GT to your possibles list.

With that shortlist can I also suggest trying a 911 and an XKR.
They both fit in the gap between the two.
I was eyeing up Vantages and 911s. After test driving the two, and then the XKR, I surprised even myself and went Jag.
Six months on, I'm not sorry.
Already have a 911 C4S so want to move away from Porsche and have something different. I have also ruled out the DB9 and Maserati GranTurismo as they are larger than I am looking for so narrowed down to the two mentioned above. They both fit in the gap between the two.
