Following on from the 'What gives an engine its sound' thread I did a quick search to see if this question had been asked before and couldn't find anything, so here goes.

What is your favourite engine sound, be it car, boat, plane etc?

We at Brize had a great show when the Vulcan was here being worked on. The owners and other 'dignitaries' were assembled in the tower to receive a flypast. He gunned it at low level about five times which was terrifying, followed by firing it skywards then landing it using the4 parachute and everything!! Quite memorable.

As for engine sounds, the Hyundai Accent WRC at Goodwood a few years ago was an epic sounding machine, the rest sounded tame in comparison.

saw it at Goodwood FOS last year. Never seen a corp hospitality tent of 300 people empty quicker than when approached its first fly-by.. Truly awesome sight and sound!
