A5 Running Costs?
Discussion
Hi All,
I'm thinking of switching to an A5 in the next few months, and am just trying to weigh up whether it will actually save me much money per year on running costs (currently running an S3). I know fuel wise its a no brainer in terms of it being cheaper to run but obviously there is then the servicing costs and tyres which are the other two big ones to consider. Insurance is a bit of a mute point because I've already spoken to my insurer and for me personally the figure will be very very similar.
I could sit down and do some sums to give myself a very rough idea, but it would be good to hear from some actual A5 owners who can give some sensible accurate figures.
Thanks in advance!

Depends on your mileage and what A5 you'll go for (4/6 cyclinder, petrol/diesel) but the sheer fact of changing car and therefore shortening your time in the S3 might limit the amortisation of the money you've spent on the S3 and absorb any (potential) savings in running costs. If you trade it in you're gonna feel it even more.
