I know this has probably been done a million times but nothing comes up from the search function.

I currently have a 1995 328i which had a engine replacement by BMW at 50,000 miles. Hopefully will be sold soon as i have seen a 1997 328i sport i'd like.

Just wondering if they suffered from nikasil problems? If they did and there was no record of the engine being replaced would you be concerned and is there any way of finding out? Thanx in advance.

At this point the question is irrelevant. Any engine that was going to die of Nikasil poisoning died a long time ago. In other words, anything still alive (and there are plenty) can be considered immune.
