Have passed this a few times now.

Kit car, 70s/80s.

Very reminiscent of a Bond Equipe convertible, but shorter and the hood is a beetle back type affair in that it goes right to the back of the car.

Front end also brings to mind the Scimitar, in SE4 guise, but with large single headlights.

Has been bugging me.

Next time I see it, I'm stopping us both, regardless of the traffic conditions.

Nothing like it, and I'd recognise a GT6 in the dark with my eyes closed.

Plus it's a tin top.

Oh, thought ahead of my brain.

As far as I remember, the non convertible equipe looks similar to the gt6, hence me putting it there :P

When you say the hood goes right into the back of the car like a beetle, do you mean exactly the same way a convertible beetle does it?

Another wild stab.

Think of the sort of top hatchback based convertibles have. Like that. No notchback or boot.

Nope, was a convertible, and squareish, like an equipe. Nose tapers slightly, making it look snouty.

What's the car in pic being driven by 'Pottymen?'.

Have you not contradicted yourself Yellowbadge? Is the car a tin top or a convertible?

Convertible.

The GT6 I referred to as a tin top.

It does not have a boot or notchback, the hood is similar to that on a hatchback.

Not a 124 spider.
