Driving around now i see more and more new cars with daily running lights which now appear to be mandatory for cars sold in the EU.

So which make and model do you think has the best and the worst looking DRLs?

In my opinion the best is:

Lamborghini Aventador

And the worst:

Citroen DS3

Are those BMW halo lights DRLs or just sidelights? Because those are good.

Worse: all the rest

I agree with the principal of DRL's but I dont see why they need to be LED's scattered all over the front of the car.

saying that, the only ones I like is the Audi A8, simple round LED cluster, almost like the side lights. They dont say look at my cock lights, they just do what they should do, make you easier to see in the day.

Worst, Pug 308 by a million miles!

Worst for me are those rings of fairy lights around Discovery headlights.

Probably no coincidence that of all cars with DRL's, Discovery's and Range Rovers seem to have then switched off the most.

Although I bet the owner of this beast leaves them on...

The DRLs on the facelifted Jag XF really are abysmal.

Best: Volvos of old. Simple, reliable, effective.

Worst: most of the pointless modern crap that is overly complicated just to add chintz. They're supposed to be a safety feature, not sparkly twinkly image projectors.

Worst - Disco or RR by miles with Audi close behind.

Best - any that don't use rows of chavvy LEDs (like our T5 Cali...;-) )

Anything that involves a strip of visible LED bulbs. Always looks awful, without fail.

Worst:

Audi A3
RR Sport/FF
Kia thingy (the wavy ones)
Jag XF
Any aftermarket retro fitted DRL, yes you do look like a sad tosser.
Citroen DS

Ok:

Vaux Insignia/Astra
Audi A5 (these were the first I noticed appearing and they look ok to me, a bit bright maybe)

Best:

BMW 'Angel Eyes' quite subtle but I think they always looked great.
That's it really, there are no other really good ones for me.

If they're switched off they aren't DRLs?

I'm assuming you can switch them off, get the dealer to do it or pull the fuse out...

Worst - Citroen DS3, Any Audi, Alfa Giulietta, New Mondeo - and anything that relies on strings of LEDs to make your car look like an out-of-season Christmas decoration.

Best - there is no best.
