Cheers for the headsup. I just went out and brimmed all of my cars along with a few jerry cans.

I'd better get some before all the braindead idiots start panic buying.

Hmmm, half the pumps in my local Tesco had no fuel tonight, which is unusual to say the least. I only filled up 'cos I was well into the red and not in the mood for a game of fuel light bingo.

Blinkin' eejits in a panic over naff all.

Thanks to media hype from the Daily Mail, blowing it all out of proportion......

......this is the kind of knee jerk reaction that will needlessly happen! The refinery closing only supplies 10% of UK fuel, as long as people don't panic buy, we'll al be fine. I hate the fking media sometimes

Actually, now I think of it .... as I passed the garage tonight on my way home, it was packed with cars queueing. I thought it was really odd, as I've NEVER seen that there ever (in 20-odd years)!

Now I know why.

What's so crazy about all this is the "high price of fuel" encourages a lot of people to run their cars with tanks almost bone dry. So as soon as there's any form of panic, the top-ups aren't half a tank they're a full tank! Thus the whole system becomes more vulnerable to panic.

Since the panic before the panic before the one before the last one I've been keeping our tanks relatively full. Makes for an easy life.....

Lucky there mate. 2 minutes later and the other car could have had ALL of the petrol. Then you'd be shafted!

Classic catch 22. You know that the general public are stupid enough to panic buy which can cause shortages in it's own right - therefore you have to brim your tank now or face not being able to fill up. The only reason I just filled up the Honda tonight is becuase the 360 isn't roadworthy...
