I may be a Philistine....but I am fed up to to back teeth of hearing about clean cars ......electric cars...hybrid cars....solar powered cars etc. I like cars to sound like cars. I hace a V8 Jaguar which gives off a lovely V8 burble and a Mazda RX8 which uses petrol like ther is no tomorrow but sounds beautiful. A car to me should smell and sound like a car. I'm glad I won't be around in 50 years when cars have been sanitized to death. Long live the V8s and V12s and all those other wonderful smelly carbon belching engines......that's what anyone who loves cars cars knows is what it's all about.

I stand by your side smile
sick to death of electric cars that look like bugs.

So we purchased 4.2 litres of supercharged heaven
£460 road tax
20mpg driving

we love it.

can't take money with you
so time to enjoy it.

Hail to thee both...count me in 4.2 litres of decatted V Power guzzling Blackpool joy as well as a few other bits and bats thrown in.

Feck the electrics and bastardised hybrid aboritions.

woohoo

My garage has a sum total of 8.6 litres and around 950bhp likely to soon grow to 12.2 litres and 1300bhp.

All I can say is if the Maldives dont like it thats what wellies are for.

I will be changing jobs soon, from an 18 mile commute to a 1.5 mile commute - I shall be buying a monster truck.

In full agreement here - ours is not the largest capacity at 2.3l but it is a 5 cyl and sounds fantastic. With regards to the electric versions of cars they are dangerous - I almost got knocked down by one last weekend reversing on a garage forecourt cause I didn't hear it!

It's not ALL about litres!

I have the sum total of 602cc's in my car and it does around 45-50 to the gallon. Sounds great though and smells even better! Straight through pipes are great! I dare say if it got tested for emmisions and particulates etc etc Mr Green might go red in the face tongue out

Heres a sound check, shame youtube doesnt do smells too as it has a great aroma of castrol mixed with burnt (and unburnt) fuel...

4.7 V8 in one and 3.2 straight 6 in another.

Add the other 2 in and I have 11.5 litres.

Love it.

yes likewise, but this is so much better

5.3 litres of V12 goodness to add to the cause here, <20mpg and no more expensive to tax than my 1.9 NA diesel, which in fairness probably puts out more toxins than the V12 biggrin
