I have a mailing list that comes in to my email every month which I like to browse through, recent (well publicised) "bargains" have included C63's, M3's and most notably the 730d.

I was then staggered to find these business deals being offered on the following cars:

Coupe
  • BMW 640D SE, 10k/Annum, 6+23 = £399/month (RRP: £62,080)
  • BMW 640D M-Sport, 10k/Annum, 6+23 = £499/month (RRP: £64,230)
Convertible
  • BMW 640D SE, 10k/Annum, 6+23 = £399/month (RRP: £68,210)
  • BMW 640D M-Sport, 10k/Annum, 6+23 = £499/month (RRP: £72,625)
Seems a superb deal if you ask me, various companies offering this deal including Major BMW dealer based in Bristol. Wide range of cars & terms available on Contract Hire & Leasing (.com).

That's a huge difference in monthly rental between the SE and Sport. The sport is 3% more list price and that adds 25% to the monthly rental? I'd have expected the Sport to retain it's value better and thus cost the same or less to lease. Odd.

Good deal though if you fancy an oil burning GT and don't do many miles.

Agreed, I found the figures rather odd, its strange that the convertibles are the same price as the coupe's too considering the large difference in RRP! scratchchin

It's because the least cost takes into account the projected value of the car at the end of the lease term when you hand the keys back and then take it to the auctions.

...and also the fact that the SE headline price will attract attention - then sales person is only £100 away from upselling the Sport...
